I received your letter concerning Mr. Preston Goins of the 7th Ky Infty and I have made enquiry of several men who belonged to that regiment and say none of them know anything about such a man but say they knew a man by the name of Luther Goins who belonged to that Regt who lives near london. Or did but does not now. Sir, the above is the best information I can get. Very respectfully yours & co
