Notes from Musters and assorted items found at end of record:
MAY_JUNE_64
Died. Missing from Hospital boat between 1/22-31/63 and from information I am satisfied he fell overboard and drowned.

MUSTEROUT records
From evidence I am satisfied this man fell off of hospital boat and was drowned in the latter part of 1/63.

Remarks of Capt Bryon(Co F):

The within named soldier, Private Walter Buckhart, was placed on a hospital boat very week on or about 1/22/63 at Young's Point La to be sent up the river to a hospital. Since which time his company commanders has had only the following information from him - the last account of him was that he was on the boat in the evening. He was very sick and weak. He disappeared from the boat during the night. No one could ever tell me how. The Surgeons in charge never made any report of the affair. The nurses on the boat at the time tell me they believe he during the night fell over board and say he was too weak from disease that he could not have got out of the river if he fell into it.
Capt William Sears commanded the company until 8/5/63, then G.W. Harman to 8/31/63, and I have commaned since. His name was on the roll when I assumed command and remained on the roll until 5/31/64 when his named was dropped by me after communicating the above facts to Col May Commanding.
