I, Sergt Wm T. Fielder, Co. H, 8th Ky, do most respectfully ask for a furlough for 30
days to visit my widowed mother in Madison County Ky.
I have been in the service over two years, never absent from duty except once when sick,
till I was wounded at the battle of Chicamauga, by a bullet in the left hand. I was in the
Battle of Murfreesboro and Harpers Ferry.
